Welcome!

Welcome!

Hello there! Thank you for visiting us here online. If you’re new to our Web site (and new to exploring Providence), look around! Or, more importantly, please visit us on Sunday morning.

In a nutshell, Providence seeks to be a church of Lubbock and West Texas, for Lubbock and West Texas. We’re called to bring Jesus’ message and work of restoration and reconciliation to people and to a world that needs him. (Feel free to look through a fuller description of our church’s vision as well as some frequently-asked questions about Providence.) We’re a diverse group of people, from young families, to students and singles, and to older adults; everyone is included in our church family.

My goal for Providence as well is that it be a safe haven of exploration for those that may have questions and doubts about the Christian faith or struggles of any kind. We’re not by any means a perfect people that has “arrived,” but we serve a perfect God who has accepted us in his perfect Son.

If you’d want to learn more about me personally, you can read a short biography of me, and I also try to keep a blog. Please contact me if you’d want to dialogue about Providence or Christianity, or if there is a way in which we can be of help to you.

Blessings,

Pastor Jim Angehr
