Booksellers and Publishers

  • Banner of Truth — The Banner of Truth Trust originated in 1957 in London. The founders believed that much of the best literature of historic Christianity had been allowed to fall into oblivion and that its recovery under God could well lead not only to a strengthening of the Church today but to true revival.
  • Reformation Trust Publishing — Founded in 2006 as a publishing imprint of Ligonier Ministries, Reformation Trust Publishing seeks to produce books that are true to the historic Christian faith and make those truths clear to laypeople.
  • Westminster Bookstore — Westminster Bookstore is the campus bookstore for Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, and usually offers very good prices.

Forums

  • PuritanBoard — A popular and well-run (the administrator is a Marine Corps officer) Reformed message board. To participate one must be a church member and subscribe to recognized confessional standards.

Missions

  • PCA Mission to North America — MNA serves PCA churches and presbyteries as they advance God’s Kingdom in North America by planting, growing and multiplying Biblically healthy churches through the development of intentional evangelism and outreach ministries.

  • RUF Hymnbook Online Hymnal — MP3s, lyrics, and lead sheets of the RUF hymns we sing in our service.

News

  • WORLD Magazine — “We stand for factual accuracy and biblical objectivity, trying to see the world as best we can the way the Bible depicts it. Journalistic humility for us means trying to give God’s perspective. … We cover all aspects of the news: national, international, and cultural; politics and business; medicine, science, technology, and sports. … But what matters the most is this: We believe in a God who tells the truth and wants us to do the same.”

Persecuted Church

  • Open Doors — Open Doors works in the world’s most oppressive countries, strengthening Christians to stand strong in the face of persecution and equipping them to shine Christ’s light in these dark places. One of the greatest challenges to Christians living under tyranny and oppression is isolation – from God’s word and from the body of Christ. Where other Christian organizations cannot enter or have been forced to flee by oppressive governments or cultures, Open Doors can be found – supplying Bibles, training Christian leaders, developing Christian communities and ensuring prayer, presence and advocacy for these suffering believers.
  • Voice of the Martyrs — The Voice of the Martyrs is a non-profit, inter-denominational Christian organization dedicated to assisting the persecuted church worldwide. VOM was founded in 1967 by Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, who was imprisoned 14 years in Communist Romania for his faith in Christ.

Prayer

  • Pray the Bible — An online edition of Matthew Henry’s method for prayer. Praying scripturally will teach us what prayer is, even while we do it, it will correct “shopping list” views of prayer which abound in the Christian community, and it will begin to solve in our own minds the question of “unanswered prayer.”

Reformed Reading

  • Monergism.com — Monergism.com’s purpose is to equip Christians in the truth by making available the finest classic articles and resources of historical orthodoxy.

Software

  • e-Sword — “e-Sword is a fast and effective way to study the Bible. e-Sword is feature rich and user friendly with more capabilities than you would expect in a free software package.”
  • theWord — “theWord was created in order to be a valuable, everyday tool for every Christian that wishes to read and study the Bible, the Word of God. We believe that theWord Bible Software is one of the very best Bible study software programs available, commercial or otherwise. theWord is comparable to and in many cases, if not most, better than its commercial counterparts.”.
